What we collect

When you use Slidesfly on slidesfly.com, we may process:

• Account email — when you sign in via magic link or GitHub OAuth
• Deck content and metadata — HTML you publish, titles, visibility settings, and ownership records
• View analytics — aggregate counts and basic access logs for published decks (not used to track readers across sites)
• Technical data — IP address and user agent for abuse prevention and security

Anonymous CLI publishes do not require an account; a claim token is stored locally on your machine until you link decks to an account.

Slidesfly does not use deck content, Marketplace plugin data, or other user content to train artificial intelligence or machine-learning models.

Payment processing

Paid checkout is handled by the payment provider presented to you before purchase. Depending on the applicable checkout or existing subscription, this may be Waffo Pancake, which can act as merchant of record, or Stripe. The provider receives the identity, billing, tax, fraud, and transaction details you submit at checkout. Slidesfly stores subscription status and provider identifiers, not full card numbers. Payment providers process data under their own privacy terms.

Data security and retention

Slidesfly uses HTTPS/TLS in transit, private object storage for deck files, database access controls, and a sandboxed reader origin to limit access to user content. Operational access is limited to people and services that need it to run, secure, and support the service.

Account deletion has a 30-day grace period. After that period, active account records and owned decks are deleted or queued for deletion from our systems. Aggregate analytics may be retained according to plan limits, while limited security, transaction, and legal records may be kept as required to prevent abuse, resolve disputes, or comply with law.

Your rights (GDPR)

If you are in the EEA, UK, or similar jurisdictions, you may:

• Access your personal data — export a JSON snapshot from Account settings
• Delete your account — request deletion from the same page; we apply a grace period before permanent removal
• Rectify or restrict processing — contact us if export/delete does not meet your needs

Cookies

Session and consent cookies are used on slidesfly.com only (the SaaS app domain). Public deck pages on slidesfly.xyz do not set Slidesfly cookies. We use essential cookies for authentication and a consent preference for optional analytics cookies when enabled.
